Baseball Star Darryl Strawberry Still Slugging
Recovered addict, author and public speaker Darryl Strawberry will be the keynote speaker at the Nov. 12 Inspiring Hope Dinner.
Darryl Strawberry, who ended his career in Major League Baseball in 1999 after 17 seasons, most of them as a superstar, will speak at the Nov. 12 Sunshine from Darkness Inspiring Hope Dinner.
There he will delve into what will be perhaps his longest-lasting legacy — a recovered addict who writes, speaks and preaches about his darkest days after baseball and how he found his way back.
Now 58, he remains in a far better place and published his latest book in January. He has been in ministry for 17 years, preaching for the last 12.
